Small and Medium Business Owners CONNECTOR

Meet up with the Small and Medium Business CONNECTOR, a Rotary group that focuses on vocational service by and for business owners in our club.

Members get to know each other better and use their professional skills to develop each other and their businesses.

Tyrotarian Tour: Birding at Urban Ecology Center

Our next Tyrotarian Tour will take us outdoors for a morning birding experience on Thursday, May 28th at the Urban Ecology Center at Riverside Park.

We will meet at 8:00 a.m. to join a guided bird walk through Riverside Park, where participants can enjoy fresh air, birdsong, and the beauty of nature along the Milwaukee River. Bird watchers of all experience levels are welcome!

In the Community: Hmong American Friendship Assoc.

Together, we’ll learn more about Milwaukee’s Hmong community, hear personal immigration stories, and engage in thoughtful discussion about how immigration policy and enforcement shape the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Peacebuilder CONNECTOR at Kinship

The Peacebuilder CONNECTOR is a new Rotary group dedicated to building relationships, learning about peace, and taking action in the community.

Its first event will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 8:00 am at Kinship Café at ThriveOn King. Rotarians will use videos from the Positive Peace Academy online course to guide discussion. These videos introduce the concept of Positive Peace and provide a foundation for meaningful conversation and action.

The CONNECTOR asks Rotarians to watch Module 3 with the quiz optional.

Social: Estabrook Park Beer Garden

Done in a Day: MKE Urban Stables

On Saturday, June 27th, from 8:30am - noon, we will lend a hand at MKE Urban Stables, a first of its kind home for both Equine Assisted Therapy programs and Milwaukee Police Department's Mounted Patrol.

The priority project will entail clearing brush and weeds along the east side of the mini horses' paddock, picking up trash around the grounds, deep cleaning in the barn (no mucking the stalls) and possibly in the community room in the main building. MKE Stables also promises some horse time while we are there.

We're limited to 20 people in our group. Children need to be 10 or older. A signed liability release is required for all volunteers which will be provided after you sign up.

Toast to President Kent

On June 30th we will toast outgoing President Kent Lovern on a successful year. We will thank Kent for his dedicated service this past year, and welcome Beth Heller, Vice President of Programs for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee as the new Club President for 2026-27.
