RCM Community Trust Named Funds
You can create a customized fund named for you, your family or an honoree to provide permanent annual support for a specific goal or cause. These named funds can be structured to fit your exact philanthropic goals to create lasting impact locally or globally.
Andrew Bell Charitable Trust
This trust receives about $15,000 annually from the estate of Rotarian Andrew Bell. Although these are unrestricted funds, the club takes pride in active stewardship and seeks to direct gifts where they have the greatest impact.
Andrew Bell funds were pledged to meet our $200,000 gift for the restoration of the Brown Street Academy schoolyard and the restoration of Clarence and Cleopatra Johnson Park. Between 2021 and 2024, $50,000 was pledged to the Marcus Center Performing Arts and most recently, we committed $45,000 payable over three years to New State, an organization on Milwaukee’s near West Side that supports aspiring musicians on Milwaukee’s Near West Side.
The current value is $350,000 with annual distributions of approximately $15,000.
Phil and Mariette Orth Family Fund
Established with a gift from the estate of Phil and Mariette Orth, this fund supports the club’s international projects, which have included foundational investments in Guatemalan water systems and pedestrian bridges. Fund were recently awarded to a hospital in Accra, Ghana, to establish a simulation lab, an important resource for providing training for emergency care techniques.
The current value is $440,000 with annual distributions of approximately $20,000.
A.D. Robertson Fund for the United Nations
The Robertson family established this fund to promote education about the United Nations and maintain the important relationship between Rotary and the U.N. Funds have supported U.N-connected speakers at Rotary and in the community, educational and promotional spots on WUWM radio and stipends to attend U.N.-related programs.
