RCM Community Trust - Connecting People and Resources

For nearly 60 years, RCM Community Trust has made communities better places to live, learn, work, love and play through projects like the Milwaukee Rotary Amphitheater, Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum, Brown Street Academy Schoolyard, Johnsons Park and Milwaukee County War Memorial Center Operation Renew.

Trust funds have built bridges and water solutions in Guatemala, provided scholarships to scores of students and supported a variety of programs including reading, the environment, veterans, the arts and more.

Created by the generosity of Rotarians, the RCM Community Trust is a constellation of invested funds valued at about $7 million which support the charitable work of the club locally and around the world.

Your Donations Make a Difference

  • Generous contributions support significant projects with sustainable outcomes and maintain our reputation as an organization of leaders who make a difference. Major investments include: the Milwaukee Rotary Amphitheater, Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum, Brown Street Academy Schoolyard, Johnsons Park and MKE Urban Stables.

  • Annually the Milwaukee Community Trust, the largest among the constellation of funds valued at $3.5 million, donates to essential cultural, environmental and social service organizations across the community.  Examples include the Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee Film, Restoring Lands, the Milwaukee Urban League, Feeding America and the Kinship Community Food Center.

  • Support has created a thriving scholarship program, giving students from low-income families the chance to attend college. Many are first in their families to have that chance.

  • Funds for international efforts can match funds from Rotary International, allowing for bigger, better and bolder projects.  Funds from the Trust have built bridges and water systems, classroom and kitchens in in the Guatemalan Highlands, creating over $3 million of infrastructure value.

As a permanent fund, contributions made to the fund today continue to have an impact for years to come. The Trust is professionally managed with oversight by US Bank, a trustee who is an officer of the club and an investment advisory committee consisting of Rotarians with investment experience.

Targeted, named funds—such as scholarships or international initiatives—allow donors to create a lasting legacy by directing resources exactly to the causes they are passionate about.
