Tuesday, October 17th will be a significant day for Greater Milwaukee. On that day, the Rotary Club of Milwaukee will host an important part of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s “On the Table” effort to build new relationships, generate ideas and ignite action to benefit the future of our four-county region. Our regular noon luncheon will be one of many “On the Table” activities held throughout that day and evening. There will be no formal podium speaker; everyone will have a chance to participate in thought-provoking discussions at the tables.
We hope to have one hundred guests from a diverse number of community groups join with our membership to collaborate and contribute to a more vibrant and connected region. So far we have invited members of the following groups to join us:
Federalist Society, FUEL Milwaukee, Hindu Community, Hispanic Young Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, Hmong American Peace Academy, Jewish Federation, Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition, Milwaukee Urban League, NAACP, NEWaukee, Niagara Foundation, Sikh Community, The Links, Wisconsin Policy Research Institute.
Guests will be seated in Memorial Hall with Rotarians. A Rotarian host at each table selected will lead congenial conversations about various civic topics. We hope these new connections made on October 17 will lead to better understanding and lasting relationships. In fact, this will just be the start of yearly programming, incorporating ideas generated at this first event.
If you have any other organizations or guests in mind that you would like to join us, please send their names and email addresses to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Rotary office at 414-276-4425.
