What is Oilop? …It’s Polio spelled backward.

Rotary is an international leader in the effort to eradicate polio. In the last 30 years, we have immunized 2 and a half billion children. As a result, this disease has almost been eliminated.

We encourage you to explore our new website by participating in our “Oilop” Treasure Hunt.

Instructions:

“Oilop” is scattered across 12 different locations within our website. Make a note of every “oilop” you find, and send the list to Rita in the Rotary office at ritaf@milwaukeerotary.com.

For every “oilop” you find, we will contribute a $5 donation in your name to the Rotary Foundation, up to $25, toward polio vaccines.

This donation will help in effort toward our goal of a polio free world, so start scrolling!

The Last Mile Study – Public Policy Forum
Location: War Memorial Center
Date & Time: May 9, 2017 @ 11:45 am - March 29, 2018 @ 3:18 pm
More Information

Rob Henken, President of the Public Policy Forum, will provide an overview of their recent study The Last Mile: Connecting workers to places of employment.  This research suggests that flexible forms of transit service – and perhaps new strategies linked to partnerships with ride-hailing companies like Lyft and Uber – could help address the region’s elusive “last mile” problem, which can arise when fixed-route transit services stop short of bringing commuters all the way to their job sites. This will be followed by a panel discussion that includes Public Policy Forum Senior Researcher Joe Peterangelo, Waukesha County Board Chair Paul Decker, and Corey Zetts of Menomonee Valley Partners.
