Rotary:  Connections Beyond Borders: How Rotary’s work with refugees connects with the United Nations

Rotary and the United Nations have a shared history of working toward peace and addressing humanitarian issues around the world. As we celebrate the  75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, it appropriate to reflect the critical work we have done, are doing and will do together.

Rotary President International President Mark Maloney (2019-20), who made growing the awareness of Rotary’s relationship with the United Nations a priority in his term, will join us via Zoom from his home in Decatur, IL.

The connections with Rotary and the United Nations are vital and strong. Today, Rotary holds the highest consultative status offered to a nongovernmental organization by the UN’s Economic and Social Council, which oversees many specialized UN agencies. The Rotary Representative Network maintains and furthers its relationship with several UN bodies, programs, commissions, and agencies.
