When Arch Klumph founded the Rotary Foundation in 1917, he saw an enduring way for Rotary members throughout the world to serve their communities and create lasting change. More than a century later, that vision thrives thanks to the generosity of Rotarians and the Foundation’s unique structure that empowers members to identify and solve global problems at every level.
The Rotary Foundation’s World Fund reflects the shared value of its 1.2 million members— ensuring clean water and literacy for all, eradicating the scourge of polio, building local economies through entrepreneurship and making the world more peaceful through conflict resolution training. The Foundation supports programs that improve child and maternal health and protect the environment.

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee has been a leader in leveraging grants from the World Fund for maximum impact. Over the last dozen years, we have led nearly two dozen water systems and pedestrian bridge projects in Guatemala creating nearly $3 million of infrastructure. We joined forces with other clubs for water and school projects in Ghana. Close to home, we have planted trees in the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum and bought books for schools.
Each time you pay your dues, we ask that you make a minimum $50 donation to the Rotary Foundation. We also ask you to support the effort to eradicate polio each spring. Of course, there are more ways to give which you can learn about here.
