In September our two co-chairs of the Membership committee Patrick Fennelly and Antoine Carter kicked off our newest recruitment challenge— the Rooted Rotarians vs the Rising Rotarians.

 

The Rooted Rotarians, or members joined before 2018, will take on the Rising Rotarians, members who joined in 2018 and later, in a challenge to see who can recruit more members to our club by the end of the Rotary year. There is a lot more than pride on the line here, as Patrick will invite every Rotarian who brings in a new member from the winning team to a fabulous cocktail party.

 

If you are thinking about someone you might invite to join Rotary but not sure if they are a fit for Rotary, here’s a tip:

 

When the membership committee reviews the application, we look for indications of strong leadership experience in the workplace or in the community.  We also look for hints that the candidate possesses some of the qualities that we value in Rotarians.  Some examples:  curious learner, connected to Milwaukee, engaged in the community, desire to make a difference locally or globally.
