Our club is proud again to sponsor the 11th annual HKE MKE, which will take place on Saturday, October 4th!
 

HKE MKE is the Urban Ecology Center's annual urban HKE through Riverside Park and the beautiful Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum. 

Although the event runs from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m. we encourage Rotarians to arrive around 9:45 am so we can start hiking together at 10:00 am.

Here's what you can expect: 

• Exciting kickoff in Riverside Park's newest greenspace.

• Expect a fully urban nature HKE including paved, gravel, and woodchipped paths.

• Stop at Trailside Activities where you can get hands-on with nature and try fun activities together.

• Play HKE Route Bingo (yes, there will be a prize!) while you explore.

• Cross the finish line and enjoy the NEW encore celebration with a lively party including food, local vendors, cozy campfires, and outdoor games.

This year’s NEW perks:

• Every hiker gets their own eco-friendly Urban Ecology Center adventure journal - perfect for doodles, leaf rubbings, and jotting down all the cool stuff you discover.

• Encore Celebration Station! End your HKE under the iconic stone archway with a cozy campfire, marshmallow roasting, bingo, the Betty Brinn Wonder Wagon, and a picnic with friends.
