The B-Line Park on the Beerline Trail

In keeping with our legacy of initiating enduring projects in our community— the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum, the Milwaukee Rotary Amphitheater at Pier Wisconsin, MKE Urban Stables— the RCM Board of Directors decided that the time is right for yet another significant contribution to the community. Rotarians proposed seven projects, each worthy of careful consideration.

After thoughtful deliberation, we are thrilled to announce that our club will invest in the B-Line Park, a world-class, one-mile linear park, that runs from Richards St. to Keefe Ave. on the Beerline Trail. Click here to read why the Rotary Board decided that Rotarians should join other community leaders to make B-Line Park a reality.

Spurred by resident action, the B-Line Park has attracted local, regional, and national partnerships with a common vision to improve the lives of Milwaukee residents. As such, the project positions Milwaukee as a national model for transformative urban green space and is well-positioned to achieve Rotarian objectives of impact, engagement, and sustainability.

More than just a community a space, the park will unite the economically divergent Harambee and Riverwest neighborhoods, connect eight neighborhoods along the Beerline Trail, and offer regional access through the Oak Leaf and Hank Aaron Trails to 35 neighborhoods. In addition, the B-Line Park will transform this long-disinvested area, open economic opportunities, improve the quality of life for residents, and serve as a regional destination for visitors across southeast Wisconsin.
