Ian Bassin, Protect Democracy

Ian Bassin is the co-founder and Executive Director of Protect Democracy, a cross-ideological nonprofit of progressives, moderates and conservatives who work to prevent American democracy from declining into a more authoritarian form of government. Ian previously served as an Associate White House Counsel and has received the Skoll Award for Social Innovation and a MacArthur "Genius Grant" for his work on democracy issues. Ian will join the Rotary on February 13th to discuss global trends endangering democracy, what some of the factors are driving these dynamics, and what risks they pose for American civil society, including our business community.
