Veterans Community Project with Janice Bell and Ben Hendershot

In honor of Veterans Day, the Veterans Community Project (VCP) will join the Rotary Club of Milwaukee on Tuesday, November 11th to discuss Veteran homelessness in Wisconsin and share their plans to address the issue in Milwaukee. VCP recently broke ground on a project that will bring 40 tiny homes, onsite services and resources to a 7-acre piece of land on North 60th Street. Janice Bell and Ben Hendershot from VCP will talk about their organization's unique approach to Veteran homelessness and provide a glimpse into the Milwaukee project.
Dr. Kimo Ah Yun, President of Marquette University

Dr. Kimo Ah Yun was inaugurated as Marquette University's 25th president in April 2025 and has served at the Catholic, Jesuit institution in leadership roles since 2016. He will share his vision for the university, detail the momentum Marquette is experiencing, and discuss the challenges higher education is facing locally and nationally.

Wisconsin’s Changing Climate
Like the rest of the world, Wisconsin is experiencing climate change and its impacts. The past two decades have been the state’s warmest on record, and the 2010s were Wisconsin’s wettest decade. How can we put these kinds of climate changes into historical context, and what does the future hold for our state? For many years the Wisconsin State Climatology Office and the Wisconsin Initiative on Climate Change Impacts (WICCI) have been documenting climate change and its consequences across the state. This presentation will highlight some of the major trends and effects, including those associated with extreme weather.
