John Bernaden, RCM President 2014-15
 

The Rotary Club of Milwaukee is pleased to announce that John Bernaden will be RCM’s 102nd President, serving 2014-2015.

 

“With nearly 400 members who exemplify Rotary's principles and four-way test in our daily lives, together we have the potential to strengthen public trust in Milwaukee's business, government, educational and other organizations at an important time in our community.” John says, “I am honored to lead our Club in its servant leadership role for our community and the nation as we host the U.S. Large Rotary Club leadership conference in Milwaukee in the fall of 2015.”

 

John has been a Rotarian since 2008.  He is currently serving his third year on the Board of Directors and is a committed Rotary Brewers Reading Partnership volunteer.

 

As the Director of Corporate Affairs for Rockwell Automation since 2005, John is responsible for leading global external communications and helping develop Rockwell Automation's reputation as the world’s largest company solely dedicated to industrial automation and information solutions that make its customers more productive and the world more sustainable.  He has more than 25 years of experience in previous marketing and communications leadership positions at Johnson Controls, Honeywell and Sprint.  

 

He is a graduate of Marquette University College of Communications and former editor of the Marquette Tribune newspaper in 1978; the same year Al McGuire led the team to an NCAA Basketball Championship. 

 

John is married to Kathleen, a retired nurse.  They have four children and two grandchildren.  He enjoys being a private pilot, travel, and many community relations activities.
