The Rotary Club of Milwaukee has a long history of working with the members of the Johnsons Park Community.  Twice a year we roll up our sleeves and work alongside our Johnson Park friends to pick up any trash in the park and on the Brown Street playground — and we are planning the spring clean-up for Saturday, April 24th (rescheduled from April 10th). We will meet at the south end of Johnsons Park (located near Brown and 20th St.) at 11:00 am.  The cleanup will run until 2:00 pm.  Stay for an hour, or stay for three – we will take whatever time you have available.  Bring your own gloves, other supplies will be provided. Hope to see you there!

Volunteers will help to ensure future tree canopy diversity within the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum. Small tree whips had been planted by Rotary Club of Milwaukee, other volunteers and volunteer groups over the past few years. The trees are now at the size to need the next level of protection to ensure their survivability within the Arboretum.

Volunteers will help to secure the mesh tree protection and stakes around the trees identified by the Urban Ecology Center’s Forester within the Arboretum lands. Wear appropriate clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty!   Bring gloves and a mask. We will work 6 feet apart.
